Stuff I do enough of to get it's own page:
- Doilies!
- more soon maybe
hobbies woooooooo!!!!! This is gonna be a general page to show off various projects I've completed over the years with some commentary. I mostly do crafting and am a bit of a jack of all trades however stuff I do a lot of may get it's own separate page. Still in the process of organizing this page so if things look jank I apologize but yeah.
I made this ring at a jewlery class and I have been wearing it all the time since. Its silver and it just looks really nice. Although it defnetly has gotten a bit tarnished and worn down since I first made it. My soldering on it wasn't bad exactly but it defieltly wasn't great. The text on the inside says "they are watching" for reasons and it has held up pretty well! i used some silver blackener to make the letters stand out and that worked really well.
Another thing i made a jewlery class! These things are very big, very sparkly, and very heavy but ahghgh they look so nice and unlike a lot of earring I have can usually be seen through all of my hair so thats nice! I als made the ear wire for this and it's silver so it doesn't agitate my ear. overal just love how these turned out.
some little potter guys!! I made both of them during open studio at a local studio and I just love how they turned out. The one with the horns, the eye mask can actually be taken off to reveal a little hidey hole. My mom joked it would be a good place to hide weed. I love how the colors turned out, it was called "floating blue" and is just mwah and I've glazed a lot of stuff with it. The mask doesn't stay on though without some double sided tape but hey not bad for the first time I've done something like that.
The tentacle is also great although the suckers were a tad bit tedious to do. I went back and forth on the colors but eventually decided on the classic pink. It's probably gonna end up in a terraium at some point if it doesn't remain on my shelf.
Another Crochet stuffed animal for the collection! I love all of these little fellas they're just so lovely i also used chunky yarn for this gal which is the first time I've used it for something like this and I think it turned out great! Although it was a bit tricky to see my stitches at some point. The legs also used a different technique which I always like learning
If you haven't already been able to figure out by the home page I have a bit of an obbsession with eyes :D. As of right now they have the lil findings for non-pierced ears but next week I will be getting my ears pierced :DD, I've already gotten them peirced twice at claire's but they closed up both times sme I'm going to a bit more of a legit place next week! The colors here are supposed to be based off my own eyes because I like em but they did turn out a bit lighter then my actual eye color. The earrings are so lovely and dangley and I love wearing them but the findings are a bit painful and I can't wear them for long periods :(. BUT soon I can wear them all the time!
Big ol shiny ring! I really like how this turned out although it is a bit uncomfortable to wear but it's nothing I can't deal with for the shinies. This ring is part of what might be a set! I wanna make a ring based on each main celestial body in the solar system; currently i have a mars, neptune, and as you can see here a sun ring! We'll see if I can make the rest of em. (and I will be icluding pluto i feel bad for the dude). The wire and ray bits were actually gifted to me by a friend! She gave me so much supplies and I will be making a gift for them to thank them.
This is one of my favorite things I've made so far it's. just. so. cute!! It also helps that it was a no sew pattern. I am just so enamored with it. It was also the first time I did felt eyes rather than bead eyes and these turned out so well I do them for everything now (even if they are more difficult to do then beads.)
These to guys were my first needle felted things! The brown chicken is RooPaul and the white one is Henrieta. I had a really good time making them and the act of stabbing something hundreds of times is a really relaxing process with the wonderful plus of getting a little thing at the end of it! The background is also some wet felting i did which was definetly an.. interesting process I still really enjoyed it tho! A lot of the people in my class didn't like the texture but I'm just used to the texture of wet hair i guess lol.
So I got a knitting machine for Christmas!!!! It's the sentro 48 pin (you can kinda see it in the bottom right corner) and AHHH it's great this not so lil pumpkin is the first thing I made on it and it is just lovely. The stem and lil viney bits are freehand crochet (althou if someone wants to know the pattern for them I can give it to you) and the pumpking only took like 30-40 minutes if you don't count the mess-ups. I really do love this machine and I've already made a beanie for my dad and I'll probably make a few more for my friends
